Tenny Poole

Tenny Poole is founder of Positive Talent Strategies, a company dedicated to strategic human resources consulting and coaching, and Appreciative Inquiry consulting. In her 30 years of Human Resources experience, Tenny has held a number of Human Resources leadership positions including 10 years as Vice President of Human Resources for Experian Americas Credit business. She was also the Manager of Strategic Planning for PacifiCare's sales organization. Prior to PacifiCare, Tenny held a number of positions in her 18 years in Human Resources at Beckman Instruments (now Beckman Coulter) where she ultimately held the top employee relations position.

At Experian she was responsible for identifying and providing strategic solutions to critical organizational challenges. She has deep expertise in employee relations, selection and retention, compensation, performance management, talent management and change management using Appreciative Inquiry. During her time at Experian, Tenny was responsible for establishing the Human Resources function for the opening of Experian's off-shoring center in Santiago, Chile in record time. In addition she was responsible for the HR support for the initial business expansion into Latin America and Canada. She was instrumental in the "Transformation of Human Resources" project that redesigned the HR function to deliver higher value HR services.

Tenny earned recognition as the 2000 Human Resources Executive of the Year by the Orange County Affiliate of the National Human Resources Association in March 2001 for her work in developing her Human Resources team, accelerating culture change and implementing new strategies in Credit Services. She has participated as a speaker at the National Human Resources Association, American Society for Performance Improvement, Academy of Management Consulting Division, International Society for Performance Improvement, the International Academy of Management, Consulting Division, and Orange County Compensation and Benefits Association. Tenny is considered a strategic Human Resources leader with a high commitment to the Human Resources profession.

Tenny is currently managing her own consulting practice focused on providing high quality executive level Human Resources support for small to mid-sized organizations, working with Human Resources leaders and teams who wish to increase their ability to deliver strategic Human Resources services and continuing her change and development work using Appreciative Inquiry.
